Theme 1: “At the Heart of the Masterpieces”
This tour offers visitors the opportunity to discover the museum galleries as well as part of the sculpture garden, where they can admire Rodin’s most iconic works and, through them, gain insight into the artist’s creative process.
Theme 2: “Body to Body with Rodin”
The human body lies at the heart of Rodin’s aesthetic, with sculptures—whether isolated figures or assembled groups—exploring every path of sensuality. Follow these intertwined forms, from the famous The Kiss to depictions of lesbian couples. Discover the relationships this visionary artist maintained with his models, muses, and lovers, as well as with one of his most passionate collaborators, the exceptional sculptor Camille Claudel.
Theme 3: “Welcome to Hell!”
The multitude of beings condemned for their sins, described by the poet Dante Alighieri, became an inexhaustible source of inspiration for Rodin. It provided a rich reservoir of expressive themes that he passionately explored in creating The Gates of Hell, the work of his lifetime. He also drew on Charles Baudelaire, shaping a powerful imaginative world where mythological and poetic references intertwine. Will you dare to step through the Gates of Hell?
