Frequently asked questions

Which days is the museum closed?

The museum is closed on Mondays, 1 January, 1 May and 25 December.
The museum is open on 14 July, Easter Sunday, 8 May, 1 November and 11 November if these dates do not fall on a Monday when the museum is closed. For more information, see the Plan your visit page.

How can I visit the museum as a group ?

Group visits must be booked directly online. For more information, see the Groups page or Group Guidelines and FAQ page.

I have a disability, can I access the museum ?

The entire museum (exhibition room, permanent collections, sculpture garden) is accessible to people with reduced mobility.

What methods of payment are accepted ?

The means of payment accepted are bank cards from 4 €, cash, cheques and holiday vouchers.

Do I benefit from free access?

The museum is free on the first Sunday of the month from 1 October to 31 March, at the Paris and Meudon sites.

Can I take photos of the works?

Photography is permitted in the museum garden, without a tripod, and inside the Hôtel Biron, without a tripod or flash. Photography is not permitted in the temporary exhibition room.

Can I receive brochures from the museum?

The museum does not send out brochures or flyers, nor does it send out advertising material, all our information is on the website.

When is the sculpture garden open?

The garden closes at nightfall.
The roses are in bloom from mid-May.

May I suggest an exhibition project?

The Rodin Museum does not examine artists' files for the purpose of making exhibitions.

Can you appraise a work by Rodin for me?

The Rodin Museum does not carry out expert appraisals and does not issue certificates of authenticity.
