Haute couture Fall-Winter collection 2023 2024

Come discover the prestigious Dior Haute Couture fashion show set for Autumn-Winter 2023-2024 until Sunday 9 July

This week, Rodin’s silhouettes will welcome Italian artist Marta Roberti’s embroidered figures to the museum. The female representations that populate her imagination are essentially major goddesses whose cult flourished at the dawn of civilization. These myths speak of a distant world where women and the feminine creative principle were honoured above all else, recognized as the origin of life. Marta Roberti immerses her female characters in luxuriant nature, blending them with animals with whom they coexist harmoniously. In this cosmogony of freely superimposed symbols belonging to different traditions, the artist also includes several of her self-portraits performing asanas, yoga positions. She offers us an image of herself embodying all her desire to reconstruct a forgotten past in order to repair the torn present.

Don’t miss out on this exceptional artistic installation!

« I think the present will become a before for another present to come. I try to imagine myself as an ancestor of a time to come. In my imagination, I try to represent myself as an ancestor of myself, and something a friend once said to me immediately springs to mind: ‘You are an ancestor’. I’ve always been an ancestor, I was born ancestral. My imagination has always struggled with the present: I’ve always preferred animals, naked bodies, plants and forests to cars and palaces. Because I was born near the woods and not in a city, I told myself »
