Study Days

Please note that the permanent collection galleries are not air-conditioned. The Studio Rodin, located in the Chapel, is air-conditioned. Visitors are advised to stay well hydrated and to exercise caution during periods of extreme heat. From June 8 through July 24, the installation of a structure in the Sculpture Garden will make part of the area inaccessible. The artworks will nevertheless remain visible.

Study Days

Reflecting the museum’s exhibitions, publications, and current research, the study days are designed to extend the institution’s scientific activity.

Multidisciplinary in nature, they aim to foster exchanges between French and international specialists (professors, heritage curators, established or early-career researchers) working in fields as varied and complementary as history, art history, history of science, literature, philosophy, or sociology. Artists and writers are regularly invited to contribute.

All of these events serve to reconsider Rodin’s life and work, to renew the perspectives on the artist and his era, and also to explore the specificity of the sculptural medium.
