Throughout his career, Auguste Rodin experienced both great successes and failures, as well as misunderstanding and controversy. Some of his works, initially regarded as experiments or studies, remained in the shadows or hidden away in the studio. A museum guide invites visitors of all ages to discover both the well-known and lesser-known sculptures of the artist in a tour full of surprises.

How Are Sculptures Created?
January, February and March 2027
Explore the museum’s collections with a museum guide and step into the sculptor’s studio, searching for the first clay sketches and plaster assemblages that preceded his more famous works in bronze or marble. Discover the techniques and materials used in sculpture, and share your observations of the creative process with visitors of all ages.

- Activities in French only, intended for children aged 6 and over and their accompanying adults.
