European Heritage Days at the Musée Rodin in Meudon
A weekend of heritage and photography
On 19 and 20 September 2026, the Musée Rodin - Meudon will exceptionally open its doors for the European Heritage Days.
Step into the world of Auguste Rodin and discover his home and studio, where the sculptor lived and worked for nearly 25 years. The programme includes short guided tours, talks, the exceptional opportunity to explore spaces usually closed to the public, a creative workshop, and a quiz with surprise prizes to be won!
Throughout the weekend, discover this unique place from a new perspective and go behind the scenes of Rodin’s work, in the heart of Meudon.
Please bare in mind, all activities are led in French.
“Inside the Creative Process” – Short Guided Tour
This tour invites you to discover this unique place, which is key to understanding Auguste Rodin’s art. Over the course of 30 minutes, a museum guide will share insights to help you explore this home and studio dedicated to artistic creation.
- Saturday and Sunday, departures at 2:30pm, 3pm and 3:30pm | Meeting point in front of the Villa des Brillants.

Opening of the Villa’s First Floor
On this special occasion, step into the sculptor’s private world and discover his bedroom on the first floor of the Villa des Brillants. Explore this intimate space and see objects and personal belongings rarely on display.

Family Creative Workshop
Join an artist for a creative photography workshop open to visitors of all ages.
- Saturday and Sunday, from 2:30pm to 5:30pm | Meet at the Education Space.

- Open to everyone aged 4 and over.
Self-Guided Drawing
Throughout the day, drawing materials will be available to visitors in the Plaster Gallery. Whether you are an aspiring or experienced artist, everyone is invited to pick up a pencil and explore every detail of Auguste Rodin’s work.

Open House at the maison des ateliers de la Source Garouste – Des Brillants
Located in the museum grounds, the Maison des Ateliers hosts artist residencies throughout the year. Founded in 1991 at the initiative of painter Gérard Garouste, La Source is a social and educational association that uses artistic expression to support children and young people facing difficulties, as well as their families. Come and discover the work of the artist in residence.

A Picnic in the Park
Extend your visit with a relaxing break in the Villa’s garden. Benches, tables and chairs are available for you to enjoy your picnic or afternoon snack.
