Celebrate Sculpture: A Weekend of Events for the Reopening of the Musée Rodin – Meudon!
On 28–29 March 2026, the Musée Rodin – Meudon will reopen its doors for the Sculpture Spring. Enjoy a festive, free weekend for all and explore the Villa des Brillants and its spaces through a special program: guided tours, art workshops, demonstrations, and meet‑the-artist sessions, at the heart of this iconic place of creation, experimentation, and the life of Auguste Rodin.
ON THE PROGRAM
SaTURDAY AND SUNDAY MORNING
Quick Tours: "Into the Intimacy of Creation"
- A guide recounts the history of this home-studio, where Auguste Rodin and Rose Beuret lived for nearly a quarter of a century.
11:00, 11:30 and 12:00 | Ages 12 and up.
SaTURDAY AND SUNDAY AFTERNOON
Family Participatory Workshop
- Explore sculpture practice in the studio space, guided by an artist.
2:30 to 5:30 pm | Ages 4 and up.
Introduction to Watercolor in the Garden
- Guided by a visual artist, discover the essential principles of this drawing technique and let your creativity flow while soaking in the landscapes and bucolic atmosphere of this green oasis.
3:30 to 5:30 pm| Ages 12 and up.
SaTUrDAY AFTERNOON
Student Presentations: Installation Inspired by Rodin's Monument to Puvis de Chavanne
- As part of an arts and cultural education project with students from Lycée Germaine Tillion, Le Bourget (93), a monumental installation created throughout the school year, inspired by Rodin’s Monument to Puvis de Chavanne, will be displayed in the Plaster Gallery.
Continuous presentation from 3:00 to 4:00 pm
Cocyclette : Bike-Sculpture Tour
- Explore the Meudon-Clamart area by bike and discover sculpture collections at the Meudon Museum of Art and History, Hangar Y, and the Musée Rodin – Meudon.

Independent Drawing in the Plaster Gallery
Try your hand at drawing inspired by Rodin’s masterpieces, with materials provided throughout the day.
Open House at the Maison des Ateliers de La Source Garouste – Des Brillants
Discover the work of artists in residence, Pierre Genouvrier and Lou Cruard, and meet them for discussions about their work.
