The Atelier Rodin

The Atelier Rodin

Play, Create, Move !

Let's get to it! Dedicated to the discovery and understanding of sculpture through practice, the Atelier Rodin is full of new ways to have fun and learn at the museum. To celebrate the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, this third edition invites the whole family to get moving and play, with a brand new space to experience sculpture from head to toe.

Free for children, no reservation required, accompanied by an adult. All activities are led on a self-guided basis.

    Play, explore and learn

Immerse yourself in the world of Auguste Rodin and a sculptor's studio. Draw, model, read, play or move... Each of the five areas offers a wealth of activities and discoveries to encourage sensitive and intuitive exploration.

The "Touche-à-tout!" area is an invitation to mould, pose and discover the sculptor's tools as you play. Before you leave, display your creation on the exhibition shelves.

"En Forme!" The thrill of assembling and the balancing act the artist was subject to every day. Discover the different scales of the Thinker and take a picture of your visit.

" À vos crayons !" A call for small- and large-scale drawings on a blank page or blackboard. Draw inspiration from profiles and fragments to refine your pencil strokes.

On your marks, get set... "En mouvement!" is a brand new space for tackling the sculptor's challenges. Between torsion and balance, use your body to understand how immobility can evoke movement.

    Sculpture for all

... from 3 years old onwards ! At the Rodin Atelier, everyone can explore at their own pace. The activities offered are adapted to all ages and all audiences with one goal: to spark your curiosity and allow you to explore Rodin's art through play, experimentation and engaging your senses.

    An eco-friendly design

The Musée Rodin and Studio Vaste, scenic designers for the Atelier Rodin, have reworked and readjusted the installations from previous seasons, with a view to reuse and taking into account comments from users.

Studio Vaste is committed to environmental issues, developing projects responsibly and working to reinvent, reuse, reduce and recycle.

The Musée Rodin warmly thanks CCR Re, whose support has made it possible to create the Atelier Rodin.

    DISCOVER OUR OFFER

Each year, the Rodin Museum entrusts the creation of the Atelier Rodin poster to a young artist, author, designer or illustrator currently studying or graduating from an art or design school.

Guest artist for the 2024 edition: Anouk Laplace

"I seek to re-examine the codes of representation of the body, the face and therefore identity through disparate references. Like a large punk collage, I produce still and moving images within which different references and media coexist."

In partnership with the Ecole Nationale Supérieur d'Arts de Paris Cergy - ENSAPC directed by Charlotte Fouchet Ishii. A haven for artistic experimentation, invention and research, the school is a place of community and exchange, where ideas, knowledge and experience are harnessed.
