"An unforgetable charming visit"
As soon as you arrive in the main courtyard, you will discover The Thinker, the sculptor Auguste Rodin’s iconic work. The visit continues in the Hôtel Biron, an 18th-century architectural gem, a dazzling example of the rocaille style. Walking through the 18 exhibition rooms, you step into the world of Auguste Rodin, his works, his personal collections and his artistic heritage.
Women, passion, movement, dance – all the major themes of his artistic career which brought him worldwide fame – unfold, converge and intersect before your eyes.
The museum pays homage to Camille Claudel, the “passionate” artist whose tumultuous love affair with Auguste Rodin is now the stuff of legends, by exhibiting 15 of her key works, including The Age of Maturity, Young Girl with a Sheaf and The Wave.
Outside, visitors discover both the artist’s monumental works and the different parts of the garden.
Two temporary exhibitions a year are programmed by the museum, in spring and autumn. The exhibition space, housed in the former chapel, is also available for private parties.
As a counterpoint to your visit to the permanent collections and/or temporary exhibition, you may come across works of contemporary art, in a separate room or in the garden.

All day Monday, when the museum is closed to the public
