The park comprises several different atmospheres. The lawn beside the tree-lined pathway is decorated with original monumental bronze sculptures that provide an introduction to Rodin’s art. Further on, The Walking Man, on a Column dominates a grassy area overlooking the river Seine―a pleasant place for a picnic in fine weather. The groves are dotted with classical sculptures and, in front of the facade of the Château d’Issy, The Thinker watches over the tomb of Rodin and his wife Rose, who both died in 1917.
