Institutional archives

The Musée Rodin’s institutional archives include documentation produced and received since the Musée Rodin was founded. They are related to the general administration and activity of the museum: directors’ collections, board meetings, buildings and gardens (Paris and Meudon sites), exhibitions within and outside of the museum, management of the sculptor’s collections…

These documents covering some 400 metres of shelves come in various forms: on paper, audio and video tapes, slides, CDs and DVDs.

The collections are currently being classified by an archivist.

By appointment only.
Open from Tuesday to Thursday, 9.30am-12.30pm and 2pm-5pm.

Since the Reading Room does not offer a photocopying service, photocopies are made at the discretion of the librarian and depending on the condition of the document.
Cameras may be used (without a flash) for personal documentation only, when permission is granted by the librarian and/or the head of the Department of Research, Documentation, Archives and Library.

To enrich the library, a copy of the dissertation or thesis written by a student having worked on Rodin will be requested.
