The documentary portal will allow access to digital resources produced by the Musée Rodin and offer researchers documentary services.
The Musée Rodin will make the following contents available to the public:
- the Musée Rodin library catalogue (put online in 2012)
- the digital library, enriched each year with new contents. In 2012, a body of landmark articles on Auguste Rodin will be accessible online.
– the registers relevant to Auguste Rodin’s personal archives (1840-1917) and to the museum archives since its opening in 1919.
In addition to simple or advanced queries, the documentary portal enables users to make a federated search through all Musée Rodin databases and digital contents. The federated search tool will be extended to a selection of external resources available online.
Researchers will have their own space enabling them to reserve books before their visit to the reading room, and to keep their research log. They will also be able to save their chosen data resources in a basket to be sent by e-mail or downloaded in their preferred format (Endnote, XML, Dublin Core...).
